Not at all. Daniel has taught pupils with everything from mild nerves to severe anxiety, as well as pupils with ADHD and autism, and every lesson goes at a pace that suits the person in the seat.

Driving Lessons in Crawshawbooth

If you live in Crawshawbooth or Loveclough, you are in a good spot for learning to drive, because some of the most forgiving roads in the Rossendale Valley are on your doorstep. Village roads ask you to plan ahead, read what is in front of you and stay observant, without throwing town-centre traffic at you on day one.

Daniel Keenan teaches throughout the valley from Keen On Driving, and Crawshawbooth is a regular part of that. All lessons are two hours, one-to-one, in a manual car.

Why village roads build confidence

The routes between Rawtenstall and Burnley give you longer stretches of driving than a town-centre loop ever will. That matters, because confidence comes from keeping the car settled over a proper run rather than stopping and starting every few minutes. Lessons around Crawshawbooth mix the village roads themselves with those longer routes, and as you improve they edge closer to the busier ends, so you meet more traffic only when you are ready for it.

Especially good if your confidence is shaky

Daniel has taught the full range of pupils: confident ones who are raring to go, nervous ones who needed a while before they were willing to sit in the driver's seat at all, and pupils with severe anxiety, ADHD or autism. Nobody is rushed. The lesson goes at whatever pace works for you, and if that pace is gentle for a while, that is completely fine.

When it is time for your test

Your practical test will usually be at Nelson Driving Test Centre. Daniel is generally available for tests between 10am and 1:30pm, Monday to Friday, and exceptions - a different centre or a different time - can be discussed with him. Always agree the date with Daniel before you book, so you are not sitting a test you are not ready for.

What lessons cost

A starter lesson costs £70 for two hours, and after that a standard two-hour lesson is £80. Block bookings bring the hourly rate down: £38 for 10 hours, £37 for 20, £36 for 30 and £35 for 40. There is more detail on the prices page, and we are happy to talk through which block might suit you.
